Christmas comes early for Friend with the appointment of Simon Littlejohns as Tax Partner to head up the firm’s tax practice. Simon is a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser with over 25 years of experience in advising a wide range of individuals and companies on tax compliance and planning issues.
He is returning to Birmingham where he is well known and, having spent 17 years in the city prior to his recent 3 year spell in Warwickshire, he is hoping to rekindle some of his old city centre connections.
‘This is a great coup for the firm. We are all looking forward to working with Simon who will no doubt bring his considerable tax skill and business experience to bear for the benefit of our clients both old and new. Simon will help us to develop and expand the service delivery to our wide range of corporate and personal clients, some of which are now involved with cutting edge technology’, says Malcolm Friend.
‘I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and getting back in to Birmingham life. Friend is a great firm and I have a wonderful opportunity to work with Malcolm, Denise and their colleagues to help them push the firm to higher levels. They have some very exciting clients and connections which puts them in an ideal position to exploit the changing landscape with regard to tax compliance and planning. I am looking forward to working with all of them’, adds Simon.
